Shoreham 1 Horsham 2

Horsham returned to winning ways in the Bostik League Division One South with a win over bottom-of-the-league Shoreham at Middle Road on Tuesday evening.

Lewis Hyde set the Hornets on the way to a first three points since August, when his close range header was glanced into the net on twenty minutes, and despite being denied a clear penalty, and having a penalty saved, the visitors went 2-0 on the stroke of half time when George Landais converted at the far post from two yards out.

Shoreham pulled a goal back with a second penalty midway through the second half when Dan Simmonds atoned for his earlier miss, yet Horsham held on during a nervy final twenty minutes to register a much needed league win.
