Walton Casuals vs Horsham: MATCH PREVIEW
Hornets in rearranged tie as once more, we head to Walton Casuals
Horsham endured a hangover from their win on Saturday away at promotion chasing Greenwich Borough, as they fell to a 3-0 defeat away at Walton Casuals, in this replayed Third Round Velocity Cup tie.
Despite winning the previous game 1-3 last month, an ineligible player meant the game was ordered to be replayed by the league, and Walton took full advantage of the ruling to punish Horsham, as they scored three goals during the second half as The Hornets unravelled.
A poor back pass from Liam MacDevitt to goalkeeper Michael Hunter caught the Hornets shot-stopper short, and in swept Sean McCormack to put the hosts in front, before four minutes later, Daryl Coleman doubled The Stags’ lead with a fine shot some twenty yards out that gave Hunter no chance.
Isaac Sarpong added the gloss with thirteen minutes remaining when he prodded home from close range after Hunter had clawed his initial effort upwards.
Matt Dale’s report is now available at the match centre.
