Match Report

Hythe Town 1 Horsham 1

The Hornets returned from play-off chasing Hythe Town with a creditable point on Saturday, having stunned their hosts with a goal after just two minutes of their Bostik South Division clash at the Reachfields Stadium when Hythe ‘keeper Will Godmon failed to deal with an Alfie Rogers shot. Toby House then saw an effort bounce away off the crossbar before Darren Oldaker levelled for the Kent side, just before the half hour. Neither side was able to add to the scoring after that, despite Hythe playing the final quarter of an hour with only ten men following the dismissal of Chris Kinnear, but it was the home side who went closest to claiming a winner but could find no way past Josh Pelling, who made a number of fine saves.
