Herne Bay vs Horsham: MATCH PREVIEW
Hornets head back to Kent to take on Herne Bay
Horsham make the second away visit in a row as they head to title contenders Lewes hoping to provide an upset and damage The Rooks’ title bid.
Having secured a 3-1 win on Saturday away at South Park, morale will be high amongst Dom Di Paola’s troops and they will take heart at inflicting one of the six league defeats Lewes has suffered this season, as they fight it out with Carshalton Athletic to be crowned champions.
A 2-1 win over The Rooks on New Years Day started with Charlie Harris and Hakeem Adelekun netting early on, but they were made to sweat during the second half when Ghassimu Sow pulled one back but ultimately The Hornets held on to inflict defeat on their Sussex rivals.
Horsham will also recall that last season they performed a league ‘double’ over their hosts tomorrow, and would no doubt surely love to repeat that feat for a second season running.
Wednesday’s game comes due to the previous fixture on Easter Monday being postponed, thus Horsham supporters who made the journey to The Dripping Pan that day will be eagerly anticipating better weather, having had the game called off with just over an hour before kick-off due to a waterlogged pitch.
Tomorrow’s game kicks off at 7.45pm.
