Horsham supporters yesterday voted Lewis Hyde as their Player of the Season. At the end of a long and often frustrating campaign, in which more than fifty players had turned out in the yellow and amber, Lewis’ consistent and whole-hearted performances were what took the eye of the supporters and helped the former Petersfield Town man receive more than half of the votes cast, despite having missed the last eight matches with a dislocated shoulder. Lewis, who has already committed himself to Dom Di Paola’s side for next season, will receive his award at next Saturday’s End of Season Party.

Lewis is pictured receiving a bottle of bubbly from Hornets President Frank King at the end of yesterday’s match with Whyteleafe.
