Toby’s cup exploits recognised by FA
Young striker to 'feature' in Wembley showpiece
Spurs and England captain Harry Kane might have captured all the headlines this week, following his World Cup hat-trick against Panama, but he isn’t the only one who will need to find space in his trophy cabinet for a new ball this summer with Hornets striker Toby House now the recipient of a replica from this season’s FA Cup final after the former Loxwood man was one of 137 goalscorers from the 2017/18 competition to have their names printed on the official matchball.
The twenty year old was presented with his prize by manager Dom Di Paola when the first team reported back for training at Collyers on Monday night, where he was one of twenty-three players being put through their paces by new coach Jon Meeney. “It was a pretty low-key session, as it always is for the first couple ” said Di Paolo. “It all went well though and its always nice to get back into the swing of things. There was a good atmosphere among the lads, including the new signings, and we had some of the U23s there as well. Its hard to gauge things this early but we have another session on Wednesday and then Saturday, when we hope to have got a few more signed up.”
The 2018/19 Bostik League campaign kicks-off on Saturday 10th August.
