‘Rooney’ signs for Hornets

Dom Di Paola will be hoping he has landed the midfield ‘general’ his side has missed in recent years, with the signing of experienced Daryl Coleman from Walton Casuals. The twenty-nine year old, nicknamed Rooney by his former team-mates due to his ‘uncanny resemblance’ to the former Manchester United and England man, has made a couple of appearances for the Hornets this summer and became a regular in the Chipstead side after making his debut as an eighteen year old before going on to play for Whyteleafe and Sussex County Leaguers Lingfield, where he was made captain. He joined Dorking Wanderers in 2014/15, via a spell at Corinthian-Casuals, and was named the Chicks’ Player of the Year before returning to Whyteleafe and then Walton Casuals for whom he made seventy-five appearances and captained them to play-off final success last season.

Welcome, Daryl.
