Goals galore for Horsham Youth on ‘Super Sunday’

After yesterday’s soggy trip down to Lancing to cheer on the senior side, the lads from Horsham’s youth squads were delighted to see glorious sunshine for their latest round of matches on Sunday. The U11s were in Emerald Cup action at Worthing United and put in a performance to match their smashing new kit, sponsored by Horsham Golf, putting seven goals in the onion bag. The U12s had an early start at home to Worthing Dynamos in the Arun & Chichester League, before next week’s County Cup tie, and enjoyed a terrific second half in which they turned a 2-2 half-time scoreline into a sparkling 8-2 success in which Sonny Barton helped himself to four goals, putting the Hornets top of the table. Our U13s were also at home, to Chichester City Youth, and they too put in a tremendous display to keep their unbeaten record going in front of new tracksuit sponsor Matt, from Sussex Tree Specialists, winning 6-1 with six different players getting their name on the scoresheet. Neither of our two U14 squads were in competitive action today but the Amber hit double figures in a friendly away to Lancing, returning home 15-0 victors.

More detailed reports on these matches will appear on the youth pages on Monday
