With neither side able to be separated after a 1-1 draw at Culver Road on Saturday, Horsham head down to the Dorset coast on Tuesday evening for our FA Cup Replay against Poole Town with a place in the Fourth Qualifying Round and a potential trip to Haringey Borough for the victors up for grabs.
Joe Shelley’s towering header a minute before half time ensured a first ever trip to The Black Gold Stadium against the Southern Premier side with Horsham keen to ensure progression to the 4th Qualifying Round for the first time in ten years.
Despite admitting freely that his side were the clear underdogs going into the contest, manager Dom Di Paola spoke to the West Sussex County Times about the need for his side to “man up and start games better” after he watched The Hornets concede within the second minute, but he revealed he was pleased with how his team have performed so far this season as they responded to the set back. “If we started well on Saturday, we’d have snatched a 1-0 win and it’s a magical day for the club as we are in the next round” adding that his side needed to address their penchant for giving themselves a mountain to climb.
Supporters are reminded that the club will be running a coach departing Horsham at 3.45pm sharp, with an additional pick-up at Fontwell at around 4.30pm. Supporters should note that the coach will depart from Horsham Park & Ride and NOT it’s usual embarkation point of Collyers. Anyone wishing to book a seat on the coach, at a cost of £12, should contact Jeff Barrett on 07712 888980 or at firstname.lastname@example.org
Poole Town have confirmed that admission will be £12 for Adults, Concessions £8, U18’s £5.00 and Accompanied U13’s – £1.00.
The game gets underway at 7.45pm
