Ramsgate vs Horsham: MATCH PREVIEW

Horsham will have to make their longest away trip of the season during midweek as we head down to Ramsgate in search of league points, the first of two successive trips to the county in the space of five days.

After their resounding 3-0 win against Corinthian-Casuals in the FA Trophy on Saturday, confidence will certainly be high amongst Dom Di Paola’s squad and victory at Southwood Stadium would leapfrog them above their hosts. The Rams are a place and a point higher in the Bostik League South East, with thirteen points from nine games, having played a game more than ourselves and will be looking to respond from a 6-0 thrashing at the hands of AFC Hornchurch as their run in the Trophy was terminated, this coming on the back of a 2-1 league win against Greenwich Borough.

Ramsgate finished up sixteenth at the end of last season’s campaign, a place lower than The Hornets, however they did secure a league ‘double’ at our expense with a 1-0 win in the corresponding fixture and a more comfortable 1-4 thrashing when the two sides last met at Culver Road in March, helped by an Aaron Millbank hat-trick.

We get underway at 7.45pm.

Supporters are reminded that coach travel is available to this match, departing Horsham Park & Ride at 4.15pm, costing £12. You can reserve your seat through Jeff Barrett at jeff.barrett@btinternet.com or 07712 888980
