When you concede just twice in seven and a half hours of football your goalkeeper is entitled to expect to take the plaudits, so it should come as no surprise to anyone that Josh Pelling has scooped the Bostik League’s Golden Gloves award for February. It is the second month running that Pells has won the Samba Sports-sponsored award after a series of consistent performances that have helped elevate the club to second in the table. The Horsham goal has been breached a mere five times since the start of the year and although, with only eight matches remaining until the end of the campaign (notwithstanding possible play-off matches), it might be a little optimistic to suggest that we will beat our best ever Isthmian League record of thirty-five ‘goals against’, it has been a mightily impressive season for Josh and his defence.
