Horsham’s hopes of gaining an unexpected league double over champions-in-waiting Cray Wanderers floundered at Hayes Lane this afternoon on an afternoon to forget for the Hornets. Having seen their side go behind to Junior Dadson’s eleventh goal of the season, they suffered the sorry sight of the luckless Lewis Hyde limping out of the action through injury, before a defensive slip handed the Wands their second from the penalty spot, courtesy of Joe Taylor. If that wasn’t enough, the visitors had to play the final twenty minutes or so with only ten men following the dismissal of Dan Pearse. Horsham weren’t without their chances, though, with Rob O’Toole, Harvey Sparks and Lee Harding all going close.
