Horsham Football Club is based in the Sussex market town of Horsham, West Sussex, and has been a part of the community for over 130 years. The club has been building its youth set up over the last decade and aims to eventually have youth teams from mini minor right through to Under 18 levels when the club moves to its new ground.
In recent years, many of our squads have won trophies and been very successful in their respective leagues. We have also seen the emergence of, what we hope to be, Horsham’s future stars appearing in the First Team squad which is very exciting as our main aim is to help the development of young footballers in the Sussex area to play to the highest possible standard of football.
The aims of Horsham Youth are backed by Horsham FC’s Board of Directors and its committee and receives valued support from the club’s fans.
Horsham FC received FA Chartered status in 2006 and, as a club, we are improving our Football in the Community project as we continue to grow. The Charter Standard Scheme advocates best practice, a guide that sets standards of coaching, administration and child protection for all clubs outside the Football League and Premier League. The club’s officers, including CEO John Lines, are DBS checked and Annie Raby has been appointed as the club’s Child Welfare Officer. All coaching and managers at all age groups are DBS checked and hold coaching badges from level one upwards. Each squad includes at least one holder of a minimum Level One certificate in Emergency Aid and Safeguarding.
What leagues do we play in?
We will be entering four sides into the Arun & Chichester Sunday League for the 2016/17 season, one at U11, two at U12 level (“Amber” and “Green”) and one at U15. Contact details for each of these teams is displayed on their respective pages.
